James "Jim" N. Farrer, 90, of Sioux City, IA, passed away March 15, 2025, at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 20 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Jim was born on August 21, 1934, in Sioux City, IA to James and Jennie (Henry) Farrer. He graduated from high school and was united in marriage to Loretta Erickson on May 27, 1961, in Sioux City. He was drafted into the United States Army and was later honorably discharged. Jim worked at the water treatment plant for the City of Sioux City for 40 years. He enjoyed watching TV and reading, especially books about WWII, airplanes, and cars.
Those left to honor his memory include his children: Glen (Tamie) Farrer, Timothy (Sandy) Farrer, and Gena (Ron) Lenz; grandchildren: Cody (Priscilla), Olyvia, Mike (Jessica), Jillian, Dakota (Evan), Shelby (Dan), Heather, April and Donnie; and 2 great-granddaughters: Riley and Emerson.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Loretta.
