James Madison Jones Jr. age 51, of Sioux City died on Tuesday September 21, 2010 at University Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday October 2, 2010 at Third Presbyterian Church in Sioux City with Rev. Merrill Mueller officiating. Mr. Jones will be cremated following the funeral service. Visitation will be held on Saturday from noon until service time at the church. Waterbury Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

James was born on August 7, 1959 in Saginaw, MI. the son of James M and Lucille Napier Jones.

James came to Sioux City in the mid 1980’s and worked as a CAN at several different nursing homes in the Sioux City area. He then worked as a baker for Interbake Foods for several years before his health forced his early retirement. He was an active member of AA

He will be missed by his family which includes his two sons; Dillon Allen of Cedar Rapids, and Fountaine Powell and his wife Kearra of Holland, MI., two daughters: Lakesha Powell of Holland, MI, and Madison Clayton of Sioux City, two grandchildren and one brother Joe Willie Jones of Holland, MI.

James was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the family.
