James "Jim" Herbert Arrowood, 79, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by his family on January 29, 2024.  A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, February 6th at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.  Burial will be at Graceland Park Cemetery.

James Herbert Arrowood was born on July 7, 1944 in Vancouver, Washington. Jim graduated from High School in Norwalk, California. Jim was united in marriage to Melody Loe in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 2, 1970.  Jim had worked at Acra Cast Foundry in Compton, California. The family moved to Sioux City in 1974, and worked at IBP in Dakota City until his retirement.  Jim drove his truck during the winter, but otherwise rode his “scooter” to work. Jim really enjoyed taking care of their yard over the years.

Jim is survived by his wife Melody, two daughters Crystal (Steve) Jerred and Jade (Matthew) Herrington, grandchildren Johnny Fuelberth and Calvin and Emma Jerred, a great grandson, Declan; his mother Rose Clark and two sisters, Sally Sanchez and Iris Welch.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather Victor D’Abreu and one brother, William Arrowood.
