James F. Heien, 68, of Sioux City, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at a local hospital. Services will be held 1:00 pm, Monday, December 15, 2014 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City with Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. A visitation will be held Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 6-8 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Park Cemetery.
James was born on November 27, 1946 in Sioux City, the son of John and Virginia (Brown) Heien. He was raised in Merrill, Iowa and attended school in Merrill and Lemars, Iowa. He married Patricia A. Malloy on September 14, 1965 in Luverne, Minnesota. James loved his family, daughters, and his grandchilren.
James drove truck for Truck Stop, Raskin Meat Packing, Siouxland Beef, PBX, and later years for K&B. He enjoyed the Chicago Bulls and watching football.
Survivors include his wife Patricia, daughters: Kelly (Kevin) Martin and Shelly Heien both of Sioux City, brothers: John Heien and Robert Heien, both of Sioux City, sisters: Joretta (Raymond) Harms of South Dakota, Sheryl (Darrell) Hansen of Hinton, and two grandchildren: Casey and Dakota Martin.
James was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Donald, and a grandson Justin.
