James E. Eisley, 56 of Sergeant Bluff, died Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Embassy Healthcare Community in Sergeant Bluff.

Memorial services will be held 7 pm Wednesday, November 18th at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm.

James Elmer Eisley was born on May 6, 1959 in Sioux City, the son of Elmer and Helen (Johnson) Eisley. He attended school in Sergeant Bluff and then moved to the Katie, Texas area, where he married Diane Gehlert. He worked on oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. After his divorce, he moved back to Iowa in 1989. Shortly afterwards, he was disabled and moved into the Pride Homes in Sioux City.

Jim enjoyed watching westerns on the television and daily coffee time with his friends.

Jim is survived by two daughters, Brandy Eisley of Texas and Shannon and her husband Stephen Dimke also of Texas; two grandchildren, Maddie Dimke and Alyssa Eisley; one brother, Wilson (LuAnn) Eisley of Sergeant Bluff; and one sister, Judy Eisley of Sioux City; his niece Sunshine Eisley (Shawn) Petit and his nephews, Austin Eisley and Anthony Eisley; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Allen Eisley and one sister, Janice Eisley Plendl.
