James R. Davis, 92 of Cherokee, Iowa passed away Monday, November 20, 2023, at a care facility in Cherokee. Services will be held 12:00pm Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the Community of Christ, 3232 Transit Ave. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

James was born March 31, 1931, in Boone, Iowa. He was an amazing person, always there when you needed someone to help you out or just someone to talk to.  James is known for his expertise with electronics and trains of all sizes having built 2 cities in his retirement apartment. He enjoyed years at Prime Living in Sioux City had wonderful senior companions and senior center friends and church friends.

He is survived by four nieces, Jeanne, Patty, Cathi, and Sandra, his great nieces and nephews, and his great great nieces and nephews, and many many friends.

James is preceded in death by his parents, brother and a sister.
