James E. Cullinane, 71 of Hinton, Iowa passed away Monday, February 27, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family. Celebration of Life will be held from 2-4pm Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.

Jim was born May 9, 1951, in Omaha, Nebraska the son of Eugene and Helen (Micholle) Cullinane. In 1969 he graduated from South High School, continuing his education studying Engineering. Jim married Carolyn Hetzel on October 26, 1989. He worked at John Morrell, Swift and IBP as a safety director until 2000. Jim started Plywood Construction and worked there until his retirement in 2014.

He enjoyed going hunting and fishing, he loved going to Canada for Bear hunting. He never met a stranger and would converse with anyone.

Jim is survived by his wife, Carolyn, two sons, Brian, Brent, stepdaughter, Mandy (Aaron) Grinsley, four brothers, four sisters, and two grandchildren, Jaydon Brewer, Trey Brewer.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
