Jacqueline J. “Jackie” Van Es, 69 of Hawarden, Iowa passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023, at a hospital in Sioux City, with her family at her side.  Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Wife. Mother. Sister. Daughter. Grandma. Great grandma. Traveling. Nature. Bright birds. Music. Shopping. Jewelry. The color green. Just a few of her favorite things. On 2/23/23 she grabbed the hands of her son and those who went before-fully healed, fully whole. Though we shed tears, she hurts no more.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff VanEs, two daughters, Crystal (David) Berger, Kayla VanEs, siblings; Della Brandy, Barbara Clark, Donnie Pike, Ray Pike, Sandy Bauler, Patty Davis, 7 grandchildren; Brianna (Dylan) Turner, Paul Johnson, Jr., Lillian Clay, Allen Clay, Liam Anderson, Juliana, Sophia and Callen Berger, and two great grandchildren, Mayci and Asher Turner

Jacqueline is preceded in death by her parents, son, Paul Johnson, siblings Pamela Pike, Peggy Nettles, Mike McDonnell.
