Jacqueline “Jackie” JoAnn Clause, 84, of Walthill, NE, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2023, surrounded by family. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life gathering at the Bancroft Community Building, 322 Main Street Lower Level, Saturday, April 29 ^th at 3:00pm

Jackie was born on June 5 ^th , 1938, in Sioux City, IA to Merrill and Maxine (Rakow) Reising. She was the second oldest of seven children and spent her childhood years on a farm near Allen. Later her family moved to Sioux City, Ia and she graduated from East High in 1957. Shortly after graduating high school, she moved to Walthill, Ne and had six beautiful children, Rex, Ron, Craig, Vicki, Pam, and Jeri. Jackie was a hard worker and spent several years working at IBP in Sioux City. After she quit working at IBP, she found enjoyment working for people around the Walthill area cleaning houses. Through this job she made many lasting friendships that were close to her heart. She enjoyed country life and loved having a big garden in the summer. Jackie was excellent at finding good deals and enjoyed going to garage sales and used stores with friends and family. During the colder months of the year, she would fill her time with crocheting, crosswords, and canasta. She also enjoyed baking and was known for her homemade cinnamon rolls. She loved having her home filled with her grandchildren, and you would often see her with at least one of them. Jackie was a strong woman and loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She is going to be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.

Those left to honor her memory include her six children, Rex (Barb) Clause, Ron (Mary) Clause, Craig (Darla) Clause, Vicki (Romy) Lopez, Pam (Jason) Wortman, and Jeri Smith, former daughter in law Shelly Clause, eleven grandchildren, Steven, Liz, Heath, Jessi, Becky, Heather, Randi, Dalton, Dayne, Halle, and Neena, several great grandchildren, a sister, Marilyn Reed, two brothers, Mike and Steven Reising along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Gary Reising and wife Donna and Frank Reising and wife Mackie; sister, Sandra Beavers, son in law Bill Riddle, and granddaughter, Faye Marie Clause.
