Howard “Tommy” Hacht, 65, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away unexpectedly at a local hospital on August 19, 2024. A celebration of his life will be held September 21, 2024 from 11 - 2:00 p.m. at UFCW local 222 union hall, 3038 S Lakeport street, Sioux City,Iowa 51106.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Howard was born on May 23, 1959 in West Branch, Michigan to Howard and Carol (Velte) Hacht.  He graduated high school in Michigan and moved to Sioux City, Iowa.  He was united in marriage to Carmen Pirozek on January 26, 1991 in Sioux City.  Howard was currently working in the janitorial department for Tyson, and had been there for over 30 years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, gardening, boating, and riding his motorcycle.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Carmen Hacht; daughters: Heather Merideth and Tracy (Ed Gulbronson) Thorson; grandchildren: Austin and Haley Collins, and Ryder Merideth; sister, Cara (Tom) Lokay; niece, Carolyn Lokay; and several uncles and cousins in Florida and Michigan.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his uncle Barney.
