Howard Wayne Gerson, 83 of Sioux City, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at a care facility in Sergeant Bluff. Per Howard wishes he will be cremated and no services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff, 400 4th Street.

Howard W. Gerson was born June 3, 1934 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Henry and Anna (Asmussen) Gerson. He grew up is Sioux City and graduated from East High School. Howard worked his entire life at Knoepfler’s Chevrolet. He owned several nice cars.

Howard was an avid Hawkeye Fan, loved his spaniel dogs, model trains, and enjoyed going to races and NASCAR events.

He is survived by one niece, two nephews, and many friends.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
