Henry Paul Hildebrand, 69 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024, in a hospital in Nebraska. Celebration of Life will be held from 1-4pm Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Jefferson Community Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Henry Paul Hildebrand aged 69 years, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024. He was born in Sioux City, Iowa on March 31, 1955; the only son of Henry “Hank” and Anna (Appeldorn) Hildebrand of McCook Lake, SD. Henry had three older sisters, Mary (Lowell) Boisen, Joni, Hogan and Debby (Stan Krienert) Nelson.

He attended Jefferson High School, worked for various companies in the Siouxland area and was avid Minnesota Vikings Fan. On December 8, 2007, Henry married the love of his life Joanne Nappe. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, dad, papa, uncle and friend. Henry was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters.

Henry is survived by his wife Joanne Hildebrand, daughter Kari Hildebrand, stepdaughter Melissa (Cody) Houck, three stepsons Bruce (Beth) Elgert, Nick Godden, Cody Godden, grandchildren; Aubree, Mikaela, Ryder, Levi, Mariah, Maycie Bentley, Cheyenne, Annalize “Bug”, Chevelle, Jerzie, Lincoln, Zaya, along with many nieces and nephews.
