Helen Marie Bates- Correia, 78 of Jacksonville, Florida formally of Dakota City, NE. went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the funeral home.

Helen M.  Bates - Correia was born February 16, 1942 in Stevensville, Michigan the daughter of Charles and Violette (McCon) Cooper. Helen moved to Florida 32 years ago. She held many professional jobs, both civilian and military with two master’s degrees she had acquired. Helen retired as Vice President of the loan department from Bank of America.

Those left to cherish her love are her daughter, Lisa (Robert) Wright of Jacksonville, Fl., the love of her life, David Kulaszewski, sister, Carole Hilliard of Joliet, IL, daughter-in-law, Karen Bates of South Sioux City, NE, grand children; Christina, Sabrina, Jeremy, Jessica, Michael, Christopher, and Julia, nine great grand children, and many nieces and nephews.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bill, and her two sons, Ricky and Dan Bates.
