Helen B. Beeson, 81 of Sioux City formerly of Salix passed away on Monday, December 6, 2010 at a Sioux City care facility.
Services 10:30 am Friday December 10,2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salix with Father Patrick O’Kane officiating, interment will follow in the Sloan cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 pm with the family present from 6-8 and a vigil service held at 7:00 pm at the church.

Helen was born in Rosalie, Nebraska on March 21, 1929 the daughter of Hjalmar and Hazel ( Martin) Ekberg. She moved with her family to Sloan at a young age and graduated from Sloan High School with the class of 1947.
She was united in marriage with Raymond Beeson at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salix in 1947. Raymond preceded her in death on April 12, 2008 in Sioux City.
She worked as a homemaker for many years, she then worked at Zenith in Sioux City continuing to work there until the plant closed.
Helen loved to dance, attending the Eagles club, reading doing crossword puzzles and refinishing furniture.
She will be missed by her family which includes her two sons: Dan(Kathy) Beeson of Omaha, NE.; and Larry Beeson of McCook Lake, S.D. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two sisters: Wilma Stockee of Lincoln, Ill., and Wanda Schilling of Minneapolis, MN.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
