Gunnar Lee Kratz, 24, of Sioux City, IA, passed away November 26, 2023.  A visitation will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.  Please dress casual in your favorite hoodie in memory of Gunnar.

Gunnar was born on November 10, 1999, in Sioux City, IA to Renee Dawdy and Jessie Kratz.  Gunnar had a heart of gold and was always there for everyone, especially his family.  He could always be seen with a smile on his face and gave the best hugs.  He loved fishing, Nike apparel, was in cub scouts, and played football, soccer and baseball.

Those left to honor his memory include his mom, Renee Dawdy; dad, Jessie Kratz; siblings: Jessica Kratz, Elyzibeth (Tommy Hutcheson) Kratz, Dakota (Dylan Madden) Dawdy, Ashline Beavers, Kya Beavers, Jase Kratz, and Sawyer Vonk; best friends:  Nacora, Azriel, Aroaz, Ransom, Dakota, and Deluka; grandparents: Bonnie Dawdy, Nellie Harris, Evangeline Kratz, and Vincent Dawdy; multiple aunts, uncles and cousins; and nieces: Monroe Jeffords, Layla Kratz, and Auriella Hutcheson.

He is preceded in death by his grandpa, Terry Harris, great grandparents Dreeszen; and his best friend, Alex “Bubba” Keokenchanh.
