Gregory E. Thies, 60, of Sioux City, IA, passed away September 13, 2024 at a local hospital.  Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Greg was born on September 2, 1964 to Duane and Norma (Scoles) Thies.  He graduated from Woodbury Central High School and began his career as a truck driver.  Trucking was his life.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Norma; sister, Julie Thies; nieces and nephew: Lindsay (Tim) Green Haylee Meyer, and Jeff Dicus; and great-niece, Kayleeann Green.

He is preceded in death by his father.
