Gregory "Greg" Robert Barrett, 61 of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025.  There will be a private family service to honor Greg at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Greg was born on August 24, 1964, in El Centro, California to Robert and LaQuita (Wilson) Barrett. He graduated from El Capitan High School in Lakeside, California in 1982.  After graduation Greg enlisted into the Navy.

He later moved to Sioux City, Iowa, where he began his career in the restaurant business. Greg worked at Applebee's for many years and then ended his career at Buffalo Wild Wings. Greg was a big sports fan, loved baseball and football.  He also enjoyed listening to music, dancing and hanging out by the pool.

Those left to honor Greg's memory include his mother, LaQuita Barrett; father, Robert and wife Colleen Barrett, two sisters: Rhonda Barrett-Wolfe, and Staci Lynn, nephew, Austin and wife Hannah Williams, three nieces: Ler'n Barrett, Alexis and wife Cassi, Shae Wolfe, great niece, Scarlet and three great nephews, Augustus, Trace, Baylor.
