Gregory "Greg" Lynn Mahnke

Gregory “Greg” Lynn Mahnke, 70, of Sioux City, IA, passed away April 5, 2026. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Grand Meadow Township Cemetery, near Washta, IA. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.

Greg was born on March 27, 1956 in Pierson, IA to Lloyd and Lola (Dearinger) Mahnke. He graduated from Kingsley-Pierson High School and went to trade school at Western Iowa Tech. He was united in marriage to Janet Crouch on February 14, 1997. Greg was a jack of all trades and was a mechanic who specialized in working on Bobcats. He enjoyed shooting and was a member of the Hawkeye Gun Club.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Janet Mahnke; children:Kelly (Jim) Navrkal, Tasha (Matthew) Pointer, Sabrinna (Dustin) Chartier, Tonya Schmitz, Josh (Amber) Mahnke, Tom Lichtenberg, and Donette (Todd) Sassman; brothers, Roger and Danny Mahnke; sister, Judy Franzen and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary Mahnke; and sister, Beverly Soden.
