Greg A. Paulson, 54 of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 unexpectedly at his home.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3-5pm Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.
Greg was born on November 17, 1961 in Sioux City the son of Donald and Janiene (Hansel) Paulson. He attended Sioux City schools and graduated from North High School. He met the love of his life, Tammy Newquist, in 1976; they married August 15, 1981 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church.
He worked as a painter at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center for 18 years, where he made many friends and really enjoyed his work.
Greg enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing cribbage, music, watching Iowa Hawkeye sports, camping, fishing, swimming, and mostly spending time with his family. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend that will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Paulson of Sioux City; one daughter, Jennifer (Spencer) Griffith of Lawton; one son, Tyler Paulson of Sioux City; two grandchildren, Logan and Baby Girl Griffith of Lawton; one brother, Jason Paulson of Austin, Texas; three sisters, Lori Paulson of Sioux City, Robin Wilch of Des Moines, Amy (Troy) Chamberlin of Gilbert, Arizona; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Naomi and Carl; and his brother-in-law, Billy Newquist.
