Gloria Jean Krommenhoek, 72 of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at a local care facility.

Gloria Jean Krommenhoek was born during the Armistice Day blizzard on November 11, 1940 in South Sioux City, Nebraska; she was the daughter of Anthony and Frances (Clark) Van Rennes.
Gloria graduated from central high school in Sioux City, Iowa. Gloria was united in marriage to Tommy Deán Krommenhoek on September 4, 1956. They were married for 56 years.
Gloria worked for Old Home Bakery and later at JC Penney. Gloria was a loving and devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed shopping, baking and writing. Gloria was a member of the Red Hat Society and active with the Ladies Circle in the Lutheran Church.
Gloria is survived by two sons, Kirk (Starlette) Krommenhoek, of Hamilton, VA and Nick (Gina) Krommenhoek of Springdale, AK; her three daughters, Janine (Steve) Draper of Fairmont, MN and Kathi (Harold) Morrison of Henderson, NV and Kim Winchester of Newalla, OK; her grandchildren, Chad Schabacker (Myra), Chris Draper, Matt Morrison, Rachel Tonneson (Brandon), Tyler Jarrett, Joshua Goldstein, Sydnie Winchester, Joey Scott, Christian, Victoria, Tommy, and Blake Krommenhoek; her great grandchild, Nolen Schabacker; her sisters, Linda (Robert) Golden, Fran (Terry) Krommenhoek, and Donna (Arvin) Uhl, all of Sioux City, Iowa.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents: Anthony and Frances VanRennes, one son Tommy Dean Krommenhoek II, her husband Tommy Dean Krommenhoek, and two infant brothers, Anthony and Gary Van Rennes.
