Glenn H. Montreuil, 68, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at a local hospital. Services will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, August 5, 2016 at Waterbury Funeral Service, 4125 Orleans Ave. Burial will be at Graceland Park Cemetery following services.

Glenn was born on November 19, 1947 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of Roy and Florence (Howard) Montreuil. He graduated high school and college in Louisiana. Glenn was a fireman in New Orleans and proudly retired as a captain. Glenn and Renee met in New Orleans and married in Sioux City in 1990.

Once in Sioux City, Glenn ran Cattleman's Lounge with his wife, Renee for close to 17 years. Glenn loved the company of others, and considered everyone at the bar his family. He also enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing, along with baseball, golf, NASCAR, Hawkeye football, and the New Orleans Saints.

Survivors include his wife, Renee Montreuil; Louie Hewitt, whom Glenn was proudly his caretaker; children, Kelly Polakowski and her husband Brian, and Jeffrey Montreuil; grandchildren, Chloe and Noah Bianchi and Brett Polakowski; sister, Janet M. Rupp and her husband Wayne Rupp, Sr; sister in law, Carolyn M. Montreuil; mother and father in law, Gloria and Duane Thompson; brother and sister in laws, Tim and Tabitha Lower, Tony and Joy Thompson, and Steve Thompson.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Florence K. and Roy A. Montreuil; sister, Joyce K. Johnson; and his brothers, Allan A. Montreuil, Sr. and Roy A. Kipker.
