Glenetta was born June 13, 1931 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of Glenn and Julia (Kilbane) Clark. She graduated from Omaha South High School in 1948. Glen was employed at the cookie bakery where she met E. Gene Cochran. On August 7, 1949 she married Gene Cochran and in 1952 they moved to South Sioux City, NE. They had five children; Sherri, Leslie, Debra, Kimberly and Kevin.

Glenetta and Gene owned and operated the Pink Elephant Bar and later purchased Gene’s bar in Homer, NE where she worked until retirement.

Glenetta loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved flowers and her yard. Often when asked what she had been doing her response was “just putzing around” or “just biding my time.” Word puzzles kept her busy or a game of checkers with her great grandsons. She was an avid Nebraska Cornhuskers and Morningside Mustangs football fan. On Saturday’s you would find her Glenetta sitting by the radio listening to the Morningside Mustang game and watching the Huskers on TV, at the same time. Glen was a fabulous cook, her home made spaghetti sauce and meatballs were always a favorite. Her delicious roast is still a mystery.

She is survived by her four children; Sherri (Steve) Flaugh of Plant City, FL, Leslie (Jim) Weber of Westfield, IA, Kimberly (Jeff Wessendorf) Cochran of South Sioux City, NE, and Kevin Cochran of South Sioux City, NE.

Glenetta is preceded in death by her husband, E. Gene Cochran in June of 2004, daughter, Debra Christiansen in September of 2020, two brothers, Vernon Clark, Don Harris and sister-in-law, Rosemary Clark.
