Geraldine “Geri” Conley, 67, of Sioux City, passed away on October 17, 2015 at her residence.
Services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, October 23, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. A visitation will be held from 4-8 pm with a Rosary at 4:15 pm, and a prayer service at 6:30 with open mic story time and family sharing following until 8 pm on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family.
Geri was born on December 21, 1947 in Pocahontas, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Phyllis (Thomas) Conley. She attended Central High School in Sioux City, and graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1965. Geri was a bookkeeper for Western Paper and Supply Company for many years. Her last job before becoming ill was for Sioux City Powersports as their spiritual advisor, babysitter and test rider.
Geri enjoyed riding motorcycles and taught her son to ride at a young age. She was an avid reader, wrote poetry, and loved the music of Elvis Presley. Geri had a great love for her God and was dedicated to her catholic faith. She was known to serve others before serving herself.
Survivors include her son Shane Conley of Bronson, Iowa, brothers: Kenneth Conley and his wife Lynnelle of South Sioux City and James Conley of Pine Knot, Kentucky, sisters: Jackie Conley of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Kim Fiscus of Riverside, Alabama, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Geri was preceded in death by her parents, son Stace Conley, brother-in-law Wilbur, and Elvis Presley.
