George Lee Ford, 40, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 11am at New Life Church 2929 W. 4th Street, Sioux City, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

George Lee Ford was born March 30, 1982, in Sioux City, Iowa to George Cooper and Carolyn Ford. He grew up in Sioux City with his mom and four older siblings. He was known as "G" to his family and friends. G was very quiet but very fun at the same time. He attended Sioux City Community Schools playing football at West Middle, also spending time at the Sioux City Boys Club. He attended Tabernacle Church of God In Christ under Pastor Willie James Ford, his grandfather. Later in life he took up boxing at the Sky Ranch for boys. Loved watching football and basketball games, especially liked betting on the games. Loved his dogs Queen, DOG, Dude, Danger, and Kato and his cat. He like to ride and talk about life...it was always a story with G! To know him was to know him. He had a great smile, he was determined and was a protector, especially to his children. He liked to watch documentaries and expressed himself through music, especially old school rap. He was a loner; home was the place to be for him.

G will be remembered by his children Tierone Hardnett, Heaven Hardnett, and Tanyha Larson; his parents; his brothers Lorenzo Ford, Tony Cooper, Monkey Davis; his sisters Tracy Ford, Portia Ford, and Angel Rae Cooper; favorite cousin Sharmel Ford; special friends Travis White, Tony Goodshield, and Jackson Greer and Ola Olamandy and many family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Reverend Willie J Ford and Jessie P. Ford; Aunt Dessie Ford-Redman, Uncles Jesse Ford and Harvey Ford; sister Sheleitha Ford and his niece Miracle Ford.
