George "Ed" Davis, 82, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at a local hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4-7 pm on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Waterbury Funeral Service.

Ed was born on March 5, 1931, in Crofton, Nebraska, the son of Theodore and Nina (Larson) Davis. Ed was in the United States Army from 1949-1953 and served in the Korean War. He operated his own lawn service for 40 plus years.

Left to cherish his memory is his very special companion, Helen Karnes, daughter Laura Sherman and her husband Scott, granddaughter Casey, sister Jan Riley, and many other friends and family.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, and his sons Dante, Craig, and Mark Davis.
