Gayle A. Zeman, 79, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 27, 2017 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City with Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Gayle was born on March 19, 1937 in Hartford, Connecticut, the daughter of Leo and Rose (Peltz) Oster. On April 23, 1956, she was united in marriage to Donald V. Zeman in Windsor, Conn. Together they made their home in Sioux City following Don's discharge from the Air Force in 1965.
Gayle was a member of the Strollers Car Club and was involved with the Sioux City Center for Active Generations for many years. She also enjoyed going line dancing.
Survivors include her 4 sons, Donald (Rebecca) Zeman of Norfolk, Nebraska, John (Cindy) Zeman, William Zeman and Tom (Melissa) Zeman, all of Sioux City; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Raymond Oster of Fresno, California and Allen Oster of Sioux City.
Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Don.
