Gary Ray Weick, age 71, of Dakota City, Nebraska, died Sunday December 11, 2011 at a Sioux City hospital.
Mr. Wieck donated his remains for medical research at the University of Nebraska Omaha school of medicine. A Celebration of Life service for Gary will be held in the spring of 2012. Gary was born in Plymouth county, Iowa on October 9, 1940, the son of Raymond M and Lucille M(Rath) Weick. He attended Sioux City schools and graduated from Central High School.
Gary was united in marriage with Connie Grazier on December 22, 1984 in Des Moines, Iowa.
He was a carpenter for more than 25 years working for Tri-State Drywall as well as owning and operating Leisure Products.
Gary enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family, he was especially fond of his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with all the time he could with them.
Gary will be missed by his family which includes his wife Connie of Dakota City, his son’s Brian Wieck and wife Hillary of McCook Lake, S.D.; Randy Doizaki and wife Ingrid of Denver, CO., his daughters Wendy Kinnaman of Sioux City, Lisa Doizaki of Denver, CO., and Danna Roth and her husband Scott of Houston, TX. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, brother Leonard Weick of Omaha, NE., and his sister Lana Dye of Sioux City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and and a son Greg.
