Gary B. Donahoo, 77, died Wednesday, June 27 , 2018 at home following a lengthy battle with cancer. Gary was surrounded by family when the Lord called him home.

Memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, on Monday, July 2 , 2018 at Church of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ with Rev. Brad Pelzel officiating. Rosary will be at 10:00 am, on Monday at the church. Burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Gary served in the U.S. military, retiring after 27 years as a Master Sergeant. He worked for US West (formerly Northwestern Bell) for 37 years.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dorothy; 5 children, Dianne (Harry) Hansen, Mary (Don) Delozier, Amy (Steven) Bock, Michael (Jen) Donahoo, and Joe Donahoo; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Paul and Howard Smith; and 2 nephews, Mitch and Peri Anest.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Thelma Smith; his sister, Sharon DiLeonardi; and 2 brothers, Mark and John Smith.

Gary’s faith and love of the Lord was always first and foremost in his life, so in lieu of flowers, the family would like masses said for Gary, or any donations to be made to the Carmelite Monastery.
