Garry G. Schrunk, 58 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Wednesday, October 26, at a local hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He lost the war with cancer after the third battle. Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Garry Gene Schrunk was born June 22, 1964, in Pohl Goens, West Germany the son of James and Mary (Davis) Schrunk. In 1982 Garry graduated from Maple Valley High School in Mapleton, Iowa. He was married to Ellen Cooper on February 9, 1982, and in this union, they had a daughter Alexius, they divorce in 2000. In August of 2006 Garry married Eva Cain and, in this union, he gained two children, Benjamin and Mindy.
He was the car salesman in the area, and also worked for Northern Auto Parts. Garry loved working on cars, making his back yard a mechanic shop. He also loved to sing and do karaoke.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Schrunk, wife, Eva Cain Schrunk, daughter, Alexius (Kenny Hanika, Jr.) Aguiar, stepson, Benjamin (Kristi) Cain, stepdaughter, Mindy (James) Thompson, brother, Benjamin (Jackie) Schrunk, two sisters, Corrina (Richard) Onderlinde, and Beth (Chad) Pearson, 8 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Garry is preceded in death by his father, James Schrunk, and brother, Timothy Schrunk.
