Gabriel Ortega Jr.

Gabriel Ortega Jr. 45, of Sioux City, IA, passed away July 1, 2026. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Gabriel was born on September 10, 1980 in Portville, CA to Rosalinda Rodriguez. He grew up in Oxnard, California and moved to Sioux City 11 years ago. Gabriel was the best father, and loved his 4 daughters more than anything. He enjoyed camping, tubing, and taking his daughters to the beach or the park. He was definitely a family man and was always at family gatherings. He worked at Bomgaars and My Tree Guy.

Those left to honor his memory include his daughters: Cherish, Bella, Southern, and Gabriella Ortega; Shanna Martinez; April Barkas; mother, Rosalinda Rodriguez; siblings: April Ortega, Celi Ortega, Brandon Lopez, and Kevin Rodriguez; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
