Fritz Brandt, 81 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Friday, November 4, 2022, at his home. Services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.

Fritz Brandt was born April 5, 1941to Freddie and Gwen Brandt of Dunlap, IA. He was the oldest of 6 kids and the most ornery! They later moved to Denison where he finished school and enlisted with the Navy. After the Navy he moved to Sioux City, where he met and married Sharon DeMey and had 6 children. He built their family home in Sergeant Bluff in the late 70’s.

He was a hardworking man who succeeded in building his own masonry construction company. Fritz took pride in his work and built many beautiful buildings around the Sioux City area.

Fritz enjoyed driving Semi, the outdoors, camping and fishing. His favorite hobby was learning how to fly a small engine plane. Fritz gave his life to Christ as a young man, and though ornery to the bone, he loved the Lord and his family.

He is survived by his partner of 27 years, Joyce, sons, Kevin, James, Russell all of Sioux City, daughters, Shayla of Sioux City and Danita (Shane) of Jackson Hole, WY, 12 grandchildren, and10 great grandchildren.

Fritz is preceded in death by his son, Christopher, his parents, brother, Richard, granddaughter, Jessica Brandt and grandsons, David Brandt- Talbert, and Nicholas Smith.
