Fred E. Davis, Jr., 64 of Veblen, South Dakota, formerly of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Monday, September 7, 2026 at a hospital in Fargo, surrounded by his family. The receiving ceremony will begin at 12:00pm Friday, a traditional service will begin at 7:00pm Friday, at the Indian Mission in Sioux City. Final send off prayer will be held at 11:00am Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Fred was born February 6, 1962 in Sioux City, Iowa; he was the son of Fred, Sr. and Leona Faye (Saul) Davis. He grew up in Sioux City, Iowa and graduated from Sioux City Public School. Fred was an entrepreneur that traveled around the country and enjoyed all that life had being a free bird.

He is survived by his daughter Amanda Schramm, two granddaughters Aiyana and Izabela Davis, and four sisters: Lily (Wayne) Medina, Mary Davis, Vanetta (Chad) Flaugh, and Debbie Davis, and close friends Delonna Ladeaux and Linda Tantu,

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, David and Michael E. Saul, sister, Bonnie Davis, and one step son, Michael Ladeaux.
