Frank J. Spray, age 60, of Sioux City died Thursday November 25, 2010 at his residence.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-8 pm with the family present from 6-8 and a prayer service conducted by Father Richard Sitzmann held at 7:30 p.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service. Frank was born in Sioux City, Iowa on November 12, 1950 the son of Averil J. and Francis L.(O’Leary) Spray. He attended Sioux City schools and graduated from Riverside High School. Frank played in a local rock band called The Evolution during his high school years. He then attended Iowa Lakes Community College where he received his associates degree in media communications.
Frank served his country during the Viet Nam war as a member of the United States Navy, he received a medical discharge after he suffered a back injury during his service.
Frank worked in California for several years working as a stage hand at CBS studios in Hollywood working for The Price is Right, he also worked a driver for many Rock Bands, getting their equipment to various concerts throughout the nation. Before moving to California, Frank worked part-time at the Sioux City auditorium. Frank was a funny loving person, who enjoyed cooking, his Harley Davidson motorcycles. He enjoyed the wonderful times that he had with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Elks Club.
He is survived by his two sons Michael and Andrew Spray of Atoka, TN; his daughter Allison Sedano of Sioux City, two grandchildren Devon Taggart and Marissa Sedano, and his ex wife Tammy Poston of Atoka, TN.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter Lara Taggart.
