Florence “Flo” Mae Parsons, 84, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by her family on May 14, 2025.  A celebration of her life will be held Friday, May 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Heartland Baptist Church.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Flo was born on November 11, 1940, in Muscatine, IA to Lester and Fannie (Starkweather) Hinbaugh.  She moved to Sioux City with her family during her senior year and graduated from Central High School.  She loved to dance and sing.  Flo enjoyed doing yard work and being in her yard, and playing cards, dice and games with family.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters: Jamie Parsons, Penny (Tony) Gigaroa, and Wendy (Bob) Floyd; siblings: Sandra Sward, Darrell (Doris) Shoultz, Deb Frith, Robert Shoultz, and Jody Shoultz; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Rickey; sisters: Donna Hinbaugh and Leslie Tackelson; and brother-in-law, James Sward.
