Fern Janice Marrinan, 77 of Sergeant Bluff, died Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Unity Point-St. Lukes.

Funeral Services will be held 7 pm Sunday, February 26 ^th at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation 4-7 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Fern was born on June 5, 1945 in Sioux City, the daughter of John and Violet (Copeland) Brown. Fern graduated from Central High School in 1962. She excelled in typing and shorthand.

Fern worked 20 years for the State of Iowa Motor Vehicles Department. Fern was a member of the Eagles, and also worked as a bartender at the club over the years.

On March 25, 2000, Fern was united in marriage to John R. Marrinan. They enjoyed their pets and eating out at the steakhouse or Mexican restaurants.

Fern was preceded in death by her parents.
