Felix G. Moreno Jr., 74, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at his residence. Services will be held 9:00 am, Friday, July 10, 2015 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Sioux City. A visitation will be held from 4-8pm with a vigil at 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.
Felix was born on September 27, 1940, in Corpus Christi, TX, the son of Felix Moreno and Jovita Diaz. He graduated from West Oso High School in 1961. Felix married Josefa Muniz on July 27, 1962 in Corpus Christi, Texas, together they had seven children. Felix and Josie moved to Sioux City in 1987.
Felix worked at John Morrell for about ten years before retiring due to illness. Some of his favorite hobbies were the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns, going to the college world series, and watching country western movies and t.v. shows. His number one passion was music. Felix loved spending times with his family and always took time to serve the Lord. Those that know him, know he is so much more.
Survivors include his wife Josie, children: Jovita Hernandez (Jose), Norma Sanchez (Rene), Mary Moreno (Efrain), Marco Moreno (Marissa), Felix Moreno III (Adrian), Johnny Moreno (Christine), and Jose Moreno (Amanda), siblings: Juan Diaz (Barb), Romona Castillo, Terry Bocanegra, Rosita (Eliseo) Torres, Alejandra Ortiz, and Guadalupe (Felipe) Almos, 24 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren with three on the way.
Felix was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Jose Moreno, one sister Juanita M. Guardiola, one grandson, and one granddaughter.
