Everett E. Hamilton, 82 of Laurel, Nebraska passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022, at a care facility in Laurel, NE. Services will be held 2:00pm Monday, December 19, 2022, at the River Valley Apartments in the Community Room. Visitation will be held from 1-3pm in the community room. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Everett was born November 2, 1940, in Valentine, Nebraska the son of Lyle and Flossie (Biltoft) Hamilton. He graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1959. Everett married the love of his life Linda Switzer on December 24, 1982. From 1976 until 1995 he worked at Mid-American and then went to work for Tyson Foods (IBP) from 1995 until retirement in 2009.

He enjoyed drawing, especially agriculture drawings, and reading books. Everett loved to spend time with his family and playing cards with his kids. In his spare time Everett enjoyed going to have coffee with the guys and being outside on his acreage. He was an active member of the Praise Assembly of God Church in Wayne, NE.

Everett is survived by his wife, Linda, two sons, Terry (Tammy) Hamilton, Randy (Katie) Hamilton, daughter, Tammy (Joe) Dangel and 10 grandchildren, Mikayla, Adam, Corey, Colten, Abby, Jennifer, Zachary, Dusty, Carleena, and Joyce.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Corey Hamilton, and his sister, Eva Hulshizer.
