Evelyne M. Bradbury, 68 of Salix, Iowa passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2024, at her residence. Celebration of life will be held from 2-5pm Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Salix Community Center.
Evelyne “Evie” was born on July 5, 1955, in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated in 1973 from High School in Sioux City. On June 16, 1989, she was united in marriage to Rick Bradbury.
Evie worked as a cook for many years, she also worked at Panera Bread and later drove a Sioux City School bus No. 3 in the Greenville area. During 2014 Evie was hired as a jailer in Woodbury County.
Evie tried everyday to bring smiles and happiness to all people, whether it be her kindness, or her crazy hats, even thou the immense pain she lived with for so long. She was a Great Loving wife, and was the same to our kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Evie will be missed by many.
Evie was a member of the Sassy Girls of Red Hats that gathered in Sioux City. It was on November 16, 2015, that she was found to have cancer.
Evie is survived by her husband, Rick, son, Jeremy Boland, daughter, Tammy Miller, three grandchildren, Kevin Bradbury, Alex Bradbury and Susan Bradbury, five brothers, Chris Madsen, Larry Madsen, Bob Madsen, Willy Madsen and John Madsen, and a sister, Dori Krommenhoek.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
