Elsbeth became a citizen of the USA on October 6, 1959. The family made their home in Sioux City where she continued to live her entire life.
She was a caring mother and homemaker to her two children. She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, cooking, and spending as much time as she could with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, which was her second home, making sure that she was in attendance while her health permitted her to do so.
Elsbeth will be missed by her family which includes her son Ralph Arndt and his wife Colleen of Sioux City, her daughter Linda Arndt of Sioux City, and her brother Werner Buske and his wife Juanita of Omaha, Nebraska. She is also survived by her two loving grandchildren, Dr. Richard Andt of Omaha, Nebraska and Michael L. Arndt of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
The family requests that memorials in her name be made to the caring professionals of Hospice of Siouxland, who cared for her during her final days.
