Ellen M. McKinley, 70, of Ida Grove, IA, formerly of Sioux City, entered eternal life on Friday, November 27, 2015 at a Sioux City hospital.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with family present from 6 to 8 on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Ellie was born on September 18, 1945 to Roy & Wilma (Burright) Shelton. She grew up as the eldest of five siblings and attended Central High School in Sioux City.
In 1969, she married Charles Wilson and together they raised four sons. During that time Ellie worked various jobs and retired after more than 20 years with Interbake Foods.
Ellen was united in marriage to John McKinley in 1995 in Sioux City. The couple made their home in Ida Grove. Ellie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and cherished friend. She touched the hearts of many and was a blessing to all who knew her.
Survivors include her Husband, John; Children, Mark Wilson, Robert (Debbie) Wilson, Brett (Tina) Wilson and Adam (Claire) Wilson; four Sisters, Janet (Robert) Madison, Cathy Jones, Betty (George) Phillips, and Cheryl (Jeff) Hoopingarner; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as a number of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
