Ellen L. Ford

Ellen L. Ford, 62, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by her family on May 5, 2026. A private family service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Ellen was born on September 17, 1964 in Sioux City, IA to Christian and Lydia (Epperson) Ford. She graduated from West high school in 1982 and attended Spencer School of Businesscollege. Ellen worked as an assistant manager for 29 years at K-Mart and most recently at Bomgaars. She created lots of meaningful friendships during her time there. She enjoyed researching genealogy, photography, wolves, and gardening. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and making crafts with them. Family was important to her and she always made the holidays special.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: Naqia (Kyle Wilson) Thomas, Rosanna (Shawn) Jovanovic, Daniel Richard, Kenneth (Kenzie) Richard; nieces: Laci Mapp and Allison Ford; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-and great-great grandchildren; brothers: David, Paul, and Rodney Preston.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lisa Ford; son, Frank Richard Jr.; and granddaughter Madison Richard.
