Edwin “Ed” Paul McNamara, 68, of Sioux City, IA, passed away June 11, 2024 at St Luke’s Hospital.  A memorial service will be held Friday, June 21st at 1:00 p.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.  Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Kingsley, IA.

Ed was born on March 29, 1956 in Ida Grove, IA to Raymond and Lois (Denlinger) McNamara.  He was united in marriage to Lou Ann DeRocher and they shared 37 years of marriage.  Ed owned and operated TEMC where he did demolition, excavation, and snow removal amongst many other things over the years.

He loved cars, motorcycles, and anything with wheels. His favorite memories include attending sprint car races in Knoxville, being a part of the World of Wheel Car Shows, spending time with his family, and coming up with his next prank or trying to outwit his closest friends and family members. Ed will be remembered most for his sense of humor, strong work ethic, big heart, and generosity.

Those left to honor his memory include his former wife Lou Ann DeRocher; children: Jamie (Melissa) McNamara, Maranda (Travis) Youngren, and Jaden McNamara; grandchildren: Kyler (Tiffany), Kody (Halee), Harlow, Elowyn, and Sutton; great-grandchildren: Axle, Niko, and Karson; siblings Sharon Leuenhagen, Rae Marie Pendergast, Mary (Mike) Nearman, Joe (Vickie) McNamara, Donna (Rusty) Giffrow, and Alicia Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Merlin and Bob; and sister, Teresa.
