Edward H. "Big Ed" Johnson, 82, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at his residence. A celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.
Ed was born on August 31, 1936 in Newcastle, Nebraska to Howard W. and Pauline H. (Hansen) Johnson. He grew up in the Siouxland area and attended South Sioux City schools. Ed was in the United States Army and was honorably discharged following three years of service.
On October 17, 1977, Ed married Sunyo Lee in Elk Point, South Dakota. He worked for Floyd Valley Packing Company for many years, and later retired as a Supervisor from John Morrell following forty plus years of employment. Ed was a golf fanatic and enjoyed hunting. He was also a clown with the Abu Bekr Shriners.
Ed will be dearly missed by his family and all that knew him.
