Edith E. Domnisse, 91 of Sioux City, died Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday, January 27, 2017 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to service time.

Edith was born on February 22, 1925 in Sioux City, the daughter of George and Anna (Utech) Frerichs. She graduated from the Leeds High School. On March 6, 1949, she was united in marriage to Elmer Domnisse. During the mid 1960’s they moved to Las Vegas, where she was a food service coordinator for a elementary school. After retiring, they moved back to Sioux City in 1985.

Edith enjoyed playing Yahtzee and Bingo with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life.

Edith is survived by her son Michael of Sioux City and her daughter, Sheila Summers of Lawton; 4 grandchildren, Christy Domnisse, April Keokenchanh, Michael Domnisse, Jr., and Jasmine King, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 7 brothers and sisters.
