Earl W. “Bill” Scott, Jr., 49 of Sioux City, died suddenly Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at a local hospital.

Memorial services will be held 5 pm Tuesday, May 2nd at the Westlawn Presbyterian Church, 2521 W 4th Street. Private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Earl was born on December 1, 1967 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa the son of Earl and Anna (Peterson) Scott. He attended school in Ft. Dodge and Davenport, Iowa. On December 29, 1990 he was united in marriage to Denise Sturgeon in Le Mars, Iowa.

Earl was employed and had worked as a computer technician at Happy Joes Pizza, Gateway Computers and the Wal-Mart on Floyd Blvd. until he lost his vision and retired.

Earl is survived by his wife Denise; a son Brian (Kayla) Sturgeon and their children Hailey, Makenzi, Vaden, Stevie, Zoey; his daughter Brenna Scott and Evan; his brother Thomas (Mary) Scott of Davenport, Iowa; his sister Candy Venner of Dows, Iowa; his mother-in law Delores Sturgeon; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members, plus his constant companion, Dollop.

Waiting for him in heaven are his parents, his sister, Pat Christenson, his uncle Ray Peterson his father-in law, Dick Sturgeon and a step son, Kyle Lindahl.

Please wear Iowa Hawkeye clothing or just dress casually as Earl hated to dress up.
