Obituary
Douglas W. Thomas, 61 of Sioux City, died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at a local care facility.
Service will be held 6:00pm Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Southern Hills Baptist Church. Visitation will start at 5pm at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.
Douglas was born December 17, 1953 in Sioux City the son of Jesse and Elizabeth (Groves) Thomas. He graduated from Central High School and married Pattie DeRaad in 1972. Douglas worked at Terminal Grain until 1993.
He enjoyed going to the horse track, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Douglas is survived by his three daughters; Barbara (Tracy) Bohlke, Kristy (Daniel) Fisher, and Holly Thomas all of Sioux City, one brother Danny Thomas of Sioux City two sisters; Betty Rouse and Mary Radley both of Sioux City, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Steven “Rat” Thomas.
