Dorreen Kay Kunkel, 62, of Sioux City, IA, passed away December 21, 2023, at a local care center.  A celebration of life will be held Thursday, December 28 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Dorreen was born on June 19, 1961, in Sioux City, IA to Charles and Roseann (Girard) Kunkel.  Doreen worked as a vendor for several area flea markets for many years.  She also worked at Sugar Daddy's Casino in North Sioux City for 10 years.  Doreen was a happy-go-lucky person, and everyone loved her company.  She could always be found at rummage sales and estate sales looking for treasures.  She enjoyed spending time with friends and going to the casino to gamble.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Morgan Hicks (Tommy Miller); granddaughter, Emma Miller; special friend, Tim; siblings: Colleen Perera, Tim Smith, Daune (Sharon) Kunkel, Jerry (Jo) Kunkel, and Pam (Denny) Ehlers; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Kunkel; sisters: Mary Kunkel, Barbara Letcher, and Janice Brown.
