Dorothy K. "Dori" Johnson, 76 of South Sioux City, Nebraska passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held 11:00am Monday, October 9, 2023 at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dorothy Kay Johnson was born Saturday, February 8, 1947 in Oto, Iowa to Hugh and Margaret (Hollister) Johnson. Dori was the 6th of the 10 children born into this family. She grew up in Bronson, Iowa. She married Larry King on October 18, 1963 and to this union 3 children were born: Robert Wayne, James Arthur, and Rhonda Lynn. They later divorced. Dori married Larry Tienken on July 1, 1984. Larry’s children Michael and Keri joined the family. They divorced in 2004.

Dori worked at Walmart in Norfolk, NE for 35 years. She loved working at Walmart and made many friends there. She was very crafty, loved to crochet, bake, cook, and of course collecting M&Ms. She loved to care for others, especially her family.

Dori spent the last eight years battling the Alzheimer’s disease. She moved to South Sioux City with her daughter. She was always in good spirits and fun to be around.

Dori will be forever missed by her children Bobbi, Jimmy (Judy), and Rhonda (Matt); grandchildren Charlie, Jason, Karli, Kameron, Kaden, and Gracie; great grandchildren Charlotte, Nova, Ryker, and Shiloh; siblings Russ (Yumi), Betty, Margaret (Andy), and Mary (Larry); many close cousins, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Ethel, Leonard, Marvin, Melvin and Richard.
