Obituary
Doris M. Freese, 95 of Sioux City, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 10 am Monday, August 11, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue.
Doris was born on March 1, 1919 in Sioux City, the daughter of Hollace and Amanda (Erickson) Bails. On November 3, 1940 she was united in marriage to William F. Freese in Sioux City. She worked for Cudahy Packing Company and in 1954, began working for Wincharger, which later became Dyna Tech, until her retirement in 1977.
Doris enjoyed playing cards with her co-workers, crocheting, and traveling with her family. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, and active in the choir, church circle and as a greeter.
Doris is survived by her son, William Freese, Jr, her daughter, Karen Freese, both of Sioux City, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband William, three brothers, Lyle, Robert and Richard Bails, and one sister, Elaine Hansel.
