Dona P. Black, 86 of Sioux City, died Friday, May 4, 2018 at her residence with her family by her side.

Funeral Services will be held 10 am Friday, May 11, 2018 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue, with Neil Peck, LS officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 4-8 pm, with the family present from 6-8 pm and a Prayer Service at 7 pm at the funeral home.

Donnabelle “Dona” Pearl Whitead on July 11, 1931 in Inwood, Iowa, the daughter of Cecil and Dorothy (Parson) Whitead. Soon after graduating from High School, Dona was united in marriage to Delmer Black. Dona worked many years as a secretary at Roberts Dairy. Most recently, she help set up the books for her  daughter and husband business, Dave's Glass Co.

Dona enjoyed her flower garden and for many years her and Delmer were snowbirds, traveling and camping in Texas. She was a member of the Abu Bekr Woman's Auxiliary and Kan-duetts. She also was a volunteer worker with the Auxiliary.

Dona is survived by her children, sons Rick (Kristen) Black of Smithfield, Utah and Jeff (Donna) Black of Anthon, Iowa and daugher Cindy (David) Smith of Hinton, Iowa, 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; her brother Joe Whitead of Boise, Idaho and her sister, Beverly Martin of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Delmer in 2015.
